Shipwreck silver coin necklace
This is a classic 17th century Dutch Ducatoon with the silver rider weilding a sword on the face. The coins were minted by the Dutch East India Company up through the 18th century. The setting is hand wrought gold to underscore the drama of the coin and highlighting the shield on the back. It is wonderful piece of history and beautiful as well. The coin can be worn with either face forward and the colors of the silver the gold and the black tarnish are a classic and elegant combination. The length should be adjust for the owner of this piece…either long or short, almost choker length. It is an interesting and tough-looking piece of jewelry, sporty and chic.
