Gold coin, coral and pearl necklace
Description
Vintage 18k gold chain with charms of the sea. Deep red mediterranean coral branch farmed off corsica is adorned with a bright south sea pearl and memento from 1750. The 8 escuso gold doubloon was hand struck in Lima Peru under the reign of Ferdinand vi. The vertical lines on the face represent the pillars of hercules on either side of the straights of Gibralter. The Atlantic ocean is represented by the waves below.
On the flip side of the coin are the lions of Leon and the castles of Castiles in the quadrants representing the home reagions of Queen Isabella of Spain. A piece of history with charms from the globe.
